Mn18Cr2 work-hardens from ball impact to 500–550 HB — the workhorse choice for cement and mineral processing. Cr-Mo alloy for severe abrasion in SAG/pebble mill applications. Available in wave, classifying, step, and custom lifter profiles. Always supplied as matched lifter + plate sets for even grinding media trajectory.

Separates grinding chambers and controls material residence time. Cast in Cr26, Cr-Mo, or Mn18Cr2 depending on position. Frame, grate plates, blind plates, and center screen are matched components. Replace when grate slot width exceeds design by 3 mm — oversize slot allows coarse particles to escape, increasing circulating load.

Protects the trunnion journals from abrasive material flow into the bearing. Cast in Mn18Cr2 or Ni-Hard depending on position (feed side wears faster). Replace at 50% thickness loss — exposed trunnion journals require immediate replacement to prevent catastrophic bearing damage.

The highest-volume consumable in cement and mining. High-chrome cast balls (17–30% Cr, HRC 58–65) for cement finish grinding; forged alloy steel balls for SAG and primary ball mills. Standard diameter range: 20–120 mm. Supplied in bulk (1–50 ton lots) with hardness certificates and chemical analysis per batch. Compatible with all OEM ball mills — FLSmidth, Metso, CITIC, Outotec, and Chinese equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Mn18Cr2 or Cr-Mo — which shell liner material?
Mn18Cr2: work-hardens from ball impact to 500–550 HB — the workhorse for cement and mineral processing. Cr-Mo alloy: for severe abrasion in SAG/pebble mill applications where impact energy is lower but abrasive loading is higher. The material choice depends on your ball size, mill speed, and feed material hardness.
Full reline vs partial — when to do each?
Full reline (all shell liners + end liners + diaphragm): at major maintenance intervals when all components have reached 50%+ wear. Partial reline (single section): only in emergency repairs where one section failed prematurely. Partial relines leave mismatched wear profiles that cause uneven grinding media trajectories.
How do I know when grate slots are too large?
Two signs: (1) product top size exceeds specification (oversize particles in mill discharge), (2) recirculation load increases as coarse particles bypass back to the mill. Replace diaphragm and discharge grate plates when slot width exceeds design by 2–3 mm.
50–200+ pieces per mill — how are installation drawings provided?
Every full reline set ships with a numbered installation drawing showing each liner piece position, orientation, and bolt torque sequence. Liners are individually labeled with position numbers matching the drawing. This eliminates trial-and-error installation and reduces reline downtime.
